Charito's Present Condition Aside from Charito's kidney problem, Charito also has tuberculosis and nodules on her thyroid.   Surgery to remove the nodules will take place about 6 months after she gets a kidney transplant.   Although the fellowships of St. Stephen Parish have raised enough funds for a transplant, Charito has yet to find a kidney donor.
